PRIVACY · IN PLAIN WORDS

Yours alone.

This is about the most private thing in your life. So the app is built to know as little as possible, and to keep what it does know on your phone.

No account needed. You can use every part of Baseline without signing up for anything.
Nothing leaves your phone.Your check-ins, slips, map and Why Vault are stored on the device.
Backup is locked first. If you turn backup on, it's encrypted on your phone before upload. We can't read it.

What Baseline stores

Everything you enter: check-ins, logged slips, urges you rode out, your ritual steps, your Why Vault text, your circle's names and numbers, and your settings. It's stored on your phone, behind the PIN you choose.

What we collect

Nothing about you. There are no analytics, no ad networks, no trackers and no cookies, on this website or in the app. That's also why there's no cookie banner.

Optional backup

Backup is off unless you turn it on. When you do:

  • Your data is encrypted on your phone with a key only you hold, shown to you once as a recovery code.
  • We store the locked file. Without your code it's unreadable, to us and to anyone else.
  • If you lose the code, we can't recover your data for you. You can always start fresh.
  • You can sign in with Google or with an email link. Google will list Baseline in your connected apps; the email link doesn't.

Discretion

The icon on your Home Screen just says Baseline. The lock screen shows nothing but the name and a PIN pad. The app can blur itself in the app switcher.

Deleting your data

You → Erase everything removes all data from your phone. If you use backup, You → Account & backup → Delete account removes the cloud copy too. Both ask twice.
